Event Overview

The history and prestige associated with the America's Cup attracts not only the world's top sailors and yacht designers but also the involvement of wealthy entrepreneurs and sponsors. It is a test not only of sailing skill and boat and sail design, but also of fundraising and management skills.

The brief

We were briefed to create and deliver sound, lighting, video and graphics across the interior and exterior of the Hospitality VIP Area for the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup 2016.

Solution

Our 16 strong crew completely graphic wrapped the temporary structure and installed sound proofing walls to create two areas, which featured a VIP Area and a Corporate Hospitality Zone.

Interior walls were tacked and over 400 running metres of 3m high graphics were installed, whilst the exterior entrance was canvas wrapped and branded.

We supplied 12 Samsung 60” LED Screens and a further three 90” screens were installed around the site. The VIP Balcony saw a 5x8.5m screen installed for guests.

Flower Walls were created using silk carnations and laser cut branding across the structure.

We introduced the new Robe Pickle Pat and installed a selection of generic and intelligent lighting to enhance the space.

Audio consisted of Outline DVS8’s, DVS10's and DVS12’s all flown from the roof as well as side fills for the presentation.
