An interactive Roadshow across 18 UK locations including the Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Norwich and The Good Food Festival in Birmingham, with the aim of bringing people closer to the ‘everyday’ at the BBC.
The BBC is the world's oldest national broadcasting organisationand one of the largest broadcasters in the world. Britain's first live public broadcast took place in June 1920.
Working alongside GTMS, we were asked to produce a series of activations highlighting the history of the BBC and featuring presenter simulations across Weather and Sport, Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice and Radio 1.
Each of these simulations combined custom-built sets and event branding from GTMS. We provided a full technical and power solution, from broadcast cameras to iPads. Installing audio mixed through a Yamaha sound desks and combining this with Robe Robin 100 LED Beams, LED Par’s and generic lighting all controlled through the Avolites Tiger Touch, were able to enhance the look and feel of each area and all of this was housed within an inflatable branded structure.
We developed an App, which captured users email addresses allowing the content of their session to be sent directly to them to share their experience via social platforms, having direct impact on the footprint of the event.
